Frequently Asked Questions

Queries Regarding Our Services, Bins, Types of Waste, Cost, Billing and Terms of Service Inquiries.

Waste types, dos & don'ts

Waste is divided into four main categories at transfer stations:

  • General Rubbish
  • Hardfill
  • Garden Waste
  • Soil/Dirt

Consequently, we offer specific services for each of these categories.

General Waste skip bins accept most household, green, and construction waste.

General Waste skip bins cannot hold concrete, soil, clay, bricks, liquids (such as paint or oils), tires, or ASBESTOS FIBROLITE.

Additionally, disposing of ASBESTOS FIBROLITE in our bins incurs significant fines from the Transfer Station. Fines start at $2000 and increase based on weight. These costs will be billed to customers placing ASBESTOS in our bins. When in doubt about fibrolite containing asbestos, it’s advisable to conduct testing. Safety is paramount.

Green Waste skip bins are designated for green waste only.

Green Waste skip bins cannot accommodate concrete, soil, clay, bricks, liquids, tires, or ASBESTOS FIBROLITE.

Waste must not exceed the height of the bin’s top edge. Any waste extending beyond this point will be left behind.

Hardfill Waste skip bins are exclusively for concrete, soil, clay, bricks, rocks, and tiles.
Please note: Any other material in a hardfill skip bin necessitates processing as General Waste, incurring weight-based charges at Transfer Stations.

Items apart from concrete, soil, clay, bricks, rocks, and tiles are prohibited.

Weight and overweight charges

Bin weight limits are imposed because landfills charge based on the bin’s weight. The weight limits for each bin size can be found on the Book A Bin page. If uncertain about the weight allowance, opting for a larger bin is advisable. Should your waste surpass the allowed weight, an additional charge will be invoiced, and we appreciate prompt payment within 7 days.

The weight of your waste can only be determined upon depositing it at the Transfer Station, making upfront charges unfeasible.
Overweight charges are processed as soon as possible, usually within 7-10 days.

Excess Bin Weight Vary’s by waste type and Bin Size.  Cost per Ton $90- 250.

Pickup and Delivery

Our minimum hire period is 3 days, with maximum hire period for 7 days.   If require alternative hire periods please contact us!

While we can’t guarantee exact delivery times, we will contact you before arriving. If you have specific timing requirements, please reach out, and we’ll do our utmost to accommodate your needs.

Regarding position of Bin & driveway width

Bin size determines the required truck size for delivery and collection.

Ideally, the bin should be situated within your property boundaries. If this isn’t possible, placing it on the verge temporarily is acceptable. However, bins cannot be placed on roads or block footpaths. In certain cases, you might need a permit from your local council.

Regarding cost & payment methods

We process payments through Visa, Mastercard, Direct Credit, or cash to the driver (by arrangement). Payment must be made before bin delivery.
